In reference to the UAE Central Bank announcement in November 2021, a cheque received may encash a cheque and the banks are allowed to process partial collection of cheque amounts.
AECB’s role is only to provide a probability that the cheque will bounce which will enable the receiver of the cheque to make an informed decision whether to accept the cheque as payment or not.
Open cases are not reported as the Cheque Score PDF report will only show closed cases with financial impact.
Cheque Score PDF report will show any information submitted by integrated courts on final judgements that have financial commitments on the issuer as reported at time of purchase.
Cheque Score is available only for cheques issued by UAE banks.
The Cheque Score is an indicator that does not disclose any confidential information and hence a consent is not required.
Knowing the probability of a cheque to bounce is a critical information that Cheque Score can provide upfront supporting the receiver to make more informed decision on whether to accept a cheque or not as a method of payment.
As a cheque receiver, you will be able to set reminders on the due date of the cheque. In addition, you can send kind reminder to the cheque issuer directly from the app.
